Development Department Report to Sharepoint Manager
Summary of the Job Function or Main Purpose of the Job
As a Sharepoint Developer/Administrator, you will participate in the whole development life-cycle, starting off with the requirements analysis and follow through with design, coding and implementation of corporate enterprise projects using SharePoint and other supporting Microsoft technologies.
As a key part of a growing team of skilled Sharepoint developers and administrators, you will also need to be able to provide effective training to end users.
Some Typical Activities
Managing and improving existing SharePoint sites and developing new ones.
Customising of SharePoint, supporting and developing of SharePoint web parts/apps, work ow solutions and integration of other SharePoint and Microsoft-based solutions.
Being responsible for the development lifecycle – requirements gathering, written speci cations, delivery, documentation and training.
Resolving Intranet support cases in line with agreed SLAs.
Liaising with client about product enhancements and tactical/strategic improvements.
Working with the network team to provide a stable and ef cient environment for customers. Includes installing/ migrating/con guring SharePoint environments.
Strong communication skills to discuss and document business solutions with customers. Ability to deliver to speci cations in an agreed time frame.
Development and con guration of SharePoint Web Parts.
Good understanding of out of the box SharePoint 2013 features.
SQL Database management and security.
Hands-on SharePoint development experience using the browser, SharePoint Designer and InfoPath. Good knowledge in the administration, con guration and customisation of SharePoint.
SharePoint customisation including: Designer Work ows / Custom Master pages / Data View Web-Parts
Experience with SharePoint Online.
Development using Visual Studio (C#).
Visual Studio Work ows.
Experience in front-end development using Bootstrap.
Creativity and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively on tight deadlines, as necessary.
Advanced oral and written communication skills; strong proofreading skills.
Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers.
