Partnership for Health operates the Hammersmith and Fulham Centres for Health which are well-established and successful local initiative offering patients access to a GP-Led urgent care service co located with planned care surgeries at Charing Cross Hospital and Hammersmith Hospitals.
The Centres work in close collaboration with the Emergency Departments of at Charing Cross Hospital to ensure patients with primary care needs, minor illnesses and injuries are seen by the most appropriate professionals from our multi-disciplinary team of over 120 staff. The immediate team consists of Service Manager, GPs, Lead Nurse, Emergency Nurse Practitioners, Practice Manager, Clinical and Operational Managers and Reception Staff.
Key relationships include the Partnership for Health Service Manager, Practice Manager, GPs, ENPs and Medical Directors and the Chief Operating Officer of the partnership and General Manager (ICHT) as well as hospital service managers at both sites.
The main focus of this role will be to assist the Service Manager in the successful delivery and management of two Urgent Care Centres and two GP surgeries as well as supporting associated services 111 and GP Out of hours. This will involve:
Line management and managing day to day team operational performance – including staffing issues, performance management, staff resource, identifying training need and inductions
Delivering consistently to targets (KPIs and national standards)
Managing and meeting access targets and putting in place remedial processes to meet demand
Assisting, investigating and responding to complaints, professional feedback and critical events in line with LCW’s organisational policies
Assisting with the implementation of service improvement and re-design and strive to improve the service – focussing on patient centred approach to delivery at all times
Supporting the Service Manager in fostering a workforce culture that embraces continued learning and improved patient care
Managing budgets and maximising cost savings opportunities including forecasting tools to maximise human capital resource allocation against service need in line with expenditure controls
We are looking for enthusiastic person to support the Senior Management team in the operational management of the Hammersmith and Fulham Centres for Health. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in Urgent Care Centres, 111 and GP Out of hours services and possess well developed management and communication skills. They will also be accustomed to working successfully in a fast-paced environment that focuses on exceeding targets, analysing data and performance management. Given the nature of the services LCW provide, candidates should also be able to fulfil multiple shifts through weekends, evenings, weekends and/or bank holidays. There will also be a requirement to work 1 in 2 weekends. Evidence of further education to degree level in a Business/Management discipline and 3 years suitable equivalent management experience is also sought. In addition to the above we are looking for candidates who are flexible, personable and able to respond efficiently to multiple deadlines and priorities across the organisation.
